Bob Milne Memorial Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT: $500

In recognition of Bob’s dedication to Riverview High School, the RHS Foundation has created the Bob Milne Memorial Fund to provide a $500 scholarship to a Riverview High School student who has demonstrated kindness and dedication to the RHS community.

Robert Milne graduated from Riverview High School in 1974 and has worked as a custodian for RHS since 1986. For over twenty years, Bob also served as the RHS Basketball Manager for the girls’ team. Bob was a staple in the Riverview community until his untimely death in 2020.

The scholarship will be awarded to the student whose essay best describes their commitment to undertake initiatives of kindness that create a positive impact in their school. It is our hope that this scholarship will not only recognize students for their good deeds but also encourage others to commit similar acts. Be an example for others on the importance of being grateful, being kind to others, and having compassion for everyone.

REQUIREMENTS

• RHS High School Senior
• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• Essay describing your act of kindness, enthusiasm, and commitment to the school community and how this experience has impacted you and the others involved.
• 1 Letter of recommendation (from a teacher, mentor, counselor, and/or coach). Upload to the form below.
