Edward Brown, Jr. Scholarship

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT: $1,000 renewable 4-year fellowship

Mr. Edward Brown, Jr. served as Riverview High School’s first assistant principal when it was completed in 1958. He held that position under Principal Johannsen for three years before he was named RHS principal in 1961. When he retired in 1990, he had been the principal for 29 years. Mr. Brown can be credited with so many achievements that our school experienced in its beginning years. He filled the classrooms with outstanding educators that achieved greatness in so many areas.

Requirements:

The Edward Brown Fellowship will be awarded to an RHS student who has a minimum 3.0 GPA and plans to attend a four-year university or college, pursuing a teaching career. This is a $1,000 renewable 4-year fellowship. A 3.0 or higher grade point average is also required for application and throughout the 4 years (annual transcripts must be submitted to the RHS Foundation).
